How to prepare your Argentine documents for translation

Argentine civil documents vary in format across provinces. Buenos Aires province and the City of Buenos Aires each have their own Registro Civil formats, as do Córdoba, Mendoza, Santa Fe and other provinces. All provincial formats are accepted for NAATI-certified translation. Before uploading, ensure your scan shows the complete document including all text, the official stamp (sello), signature, folio number, and any marginal notes. The Antecedentes Penales must be obtained from the Registro Nacional de Reincidencia (RNR) — not from a provincial police force — as this is the nationally recognised document accepted by the Department of Home Affairs. Documents do not need to be apostilled before translation for Australian immigration purposes unless specifically required by the receiving authority.
