Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 May 2026
These Terms govern your use of Trans Lingo's website and translation services. Trans Lingo (ABN 57 388 632 249) provides NAATI-certified Spanish to English document translations for Australian immigration, visa, study, travel and official use. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our service
We provide certified translations from Spanish into English produced by NAATI-certified translators. Each translation includes the translator's official stamp, signature and certification number, and is generally accepted by the Department of Home Affairs and other Australian government agencies, universities and courts. Final acceptance is determined by the receiving authority.
2. Your responsibilities
- Upload clear, complete and accurate copies of your documents. Blurred, partial or low-quality scans may delay your order or affect the translation.
- Make sure you have the right to share the documents you upload and that the details (such as names and dates) are correct.
- Provide accurate contact and order details.
- Check the completed translation promptly and let us know within a reasonable time of any typographical issues so we can correct them.
3. Turnaround time
Our standard target turnaround is 24 hours from receipt of a clear, complete document and successful payment. Delivery time is a target, not a guarantee, and can be affected by document clarity, length, complexity, translator availability, public holidays and time zones. Where a longer turnaround is needed, we will contact you.
4. Pricing and payment
Our standard price is AUD $59 per page, unless otherwise stated for a specific document type. Prices are shown in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Payment is due in full before work begins and is processed securely by Stripe. Orders are confirmed once payment has been successfully received.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- You may cancel your order for a full refund any time before a translator has started work.
- Once translation work has begun, refunds are not generally available, as the work has already been performed.
- If we make an error in the translation, we will correct it at no extra cost. If we cannot deliver a usable translation, we will offer a full or partial refund at our discretion.
- Refund requests should be sent to admin@translingo.com.au with your order number.
6. Certified translation limitation
Trans Lingo provides certified translations only. We are not migration agents, lawyers or immigration advisers, and we do not guarantee that any visa, residency, citizenship, study, employment or other application will be approved. Decisions about your application are made by the relevant authority based on its own criteria.
7. Accounts and orders
You may place an order as a guest or by creating an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity on your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes. We may suspend or close accounts that are used in breach of these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the source documents you upload. Once your translation has been paid for and delivered, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the translated document for your own personal, immigration, study, employment or official purposes. The Trans Lingo name, logo, website design, content and templates remain our intellectual property and may not be copied or reused without permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, our total liability for any claim relating to a translation is limited to either re-performing the translation or refunding the amount you paid for the affected order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including visa refusal, missed deadlines, lost opportunities or third-party fees. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of the state or territory where Trans Lingo is based.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be shown on this page with the updated date above. Continuing to use our service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
