Korean Driver's Licence Translation운전면허증
A Korean 운전면허증 is the driver's licence card. The separate 운전경력증명서 is a driving-history certificate, not a replacement licence. We translate the supplied card's Korean text, categories and conditions, but you should check the rules for your intended Australian use before purchasing a translation.
What this document contains
Issued in South Korea by the Korean driver-licensing authority printed on your card. A certified translation reproduces every field below, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes.
- Holder's name, date of birth and licence number
- Licence class or category exactly as printed
- Issue, renewal and validity dates where shown
- Address and issuing authority
- Conditions, restrictions and reverse-side annotations
Important NSW licence-transfer restriction
For NSW overseas licence transfer, NAATI certification alone does not establish provider approval. Service NSW lists Multicultural NSW, Home Affairs, the Consulate-General of the Republic of Korea for Korean licences, and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office for Taiwan licences. TransLingo is not represented as a Transport for NSW-approved provider. Present the original translation document; photocopies are not accepted.
Other states and territories have their own requirements. Licence transfer, temporary driving, rental and insurance are separate uses. A translation does not extend your legal driving entitlement.
Versions you may have
- Korean-language card and cards with English on the reverse: check both sides
- 운전경력증명서: separate driving-history certificate describing history, not the licence card
Original title: 운전면허증
Also known as: unjeon myeonheojeung · Korean driving licence · 운전경력증명서 (separate driving-history record)
TransLingo translates the document you supply. We do not issue, obtain, verify, notarise or apostille it, and the receiving authority decides what it accepts.

Names, script and upload tips
Korean names may use different Roman spellings across records. Supply your passport spelling in the order notes. The translation preserves the original identity details, printed Hanja and any masking of resident registration numbers; it does not invent hidden digits or silently resolve name discrepancies. Licence categories are translated as recorded; translation does not convert a Korean class into an Australian entitlement.
- Scan both sides without glare or cropping
- Do not crop the licence category or date panels
- Confirm your receiving authority's approved translation providers before ordering
