What an academic transcript is
An academic transcript is the official record issued by a school or university listing every subject studied, credit hours or units, grades achieved and academic terms completed. In many countries it is issued as a certificado de notas, expediente académico, historia académica or reporte de calificaciones and is usually accompanied by the institution's stamp and the registrar's signature.
When you need a certified translation
- Student visa (Subclass 500) — evidence of prior study to support your Genuine Student assessment.
- University admissions — undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD applications at every Australian university.
- Skills assessments — TRA, VETASSESS, Engineers Australia, ACS and AIPT.
- Skilled visas (189, 190, 491, 482) — as part of your qualifications evidence.
- Professional registration — AHPRA and other regulators when converting overseas qualifications.
What the translation includes
A certified translation reproduces the full content of the transcript: student name, institution, degree/course title, subject list, grades, credit values, grading scale legend, dates of study, and any seals, signatures or authentication marks visible on the original.
