Bulgarian Birth Certificate TranslationУдостоверение за раждане
A Bulgarian birth certificate (удостоверение за раждане) is drawn up by the municipality where the birth was registered, based on the underlying birth act (акт за раждане). A lost or additional copy is reissued as a duplicate (дубликат) from the same municipal register. We translate either version in full, including the act number and any later annotation.

Names, script and upload tips
Bulgarian is written in Cyrillic and uses three names: given name, father's (patronymic) name and family name, often with gendered surname endings (-ов/-ова, -ев/-ева). We transliterate each name as printed, use your passport spelling as a reference where supplied, and keep the father's name as a middle name rather than dropping it.
- Scan both sides: the reverse sometimes carries a later annotation or apostille
- Keep the act number and municipality name legible — they identify the exact register entry
- Ask the receiving authority whether a multilingual extract is accepted before ordering a full translation
