Ecuadorian birth record (certificado de nacimiento)
Ecuador Certificado de Nacimiento Translation into English
Ecuador's Registro Civil issues birth evidence in two forms people confuse: the electronic certificado de nacimiento, and the copia de acta registral de nacimiento — the fuller copy of the actual registry entry, often asked for as the copia íntegra. We translate either into English through a NAATI-certified Spanish translator at $59 per selected page, with your complete order returned within 24 hours.
Certificado de nacimiento or copia de acta registral?
The Registro Civil's online portal issues electronic civil-status certificates; the fuller registry copy is a separate product. Which one you need depends on what the receiving body asked for.
- The certificado de nacimiento is the standard electronic certificate, carrying a verification code and electronic signature
- The copia de acta registral de nacimiento, or copia íntegra, reproduces the registry entry itself, including marginal notes
- Where an organisation asks to see the full civil-registry entry or later annotations, the copia de acta registral is usually the one meant
- Typical fields include the person's full name, cédula number, date and place of birth, parents' names and nationalities, and the inscription details
- Used in Australia to evidence birth, identity, parentage and name history for partner, child, family and citizenship applications

NAATI Certification
How we translate Ecuadorian birth records
Our NAATI-certified Spanish translators reproduce the document as issued: the Registro Civil heading, the inscription details, the person's full name and cédula number, date and place of birth, the parents' names and nationalities, marginal annotations where present, and the electronic signature, QR code and verification panel, so the original can still be checked online. Ecuadorian double surnames are preserved as registered, and apostilles are translated alongside the record when you send them. TransLingo translates the record you supply; we do not issue, obtain, verify, correct or apostille Ecuadorian civil records, and we cannot advise on your application. The Registro Civil publishes its own current instructions for requesting electronic civil-status certificates (registrocivil.gob.ec). Which version is required is decided by the Australian authority receiving your application, so confirm that with them before you order; a certified translation does not by itself guarantee acceptance.
- Electronic certificado de nacimiento, translated with its verification panel intact
- Copia de acta registral de nacimiento, including marginal notes and annotations
- Cédula number, inscription details and parents' details reproduced exactly
- QR codes and electronic-signature panels described in the translation
- Apostille translated alongside the certificate when you send it
