Uvjerenje da se ne vodi kazneni postupak Translation for Australia

This certificate is issued by Croatian municipal courts and concerns criminal proceedings under way, within the scope stated on the certificate. It is not the same document as the ministry-issued criminal-record certificate, even though people call both uvjerenje o nekažnjavanju. To order, go to Start your order.

One colloquial name, two different certificates

The Croatian Ministry of Justice's public information distinguishes the court-issued uvjerenje da se ne vodi kazneni postupak from the ministry-issued potvrda/uvjerenje iz kaznene evidencije. Source: Ministarstvo pravosuđa — FAQ, read 10 September 2026. The ministry also sets out the certificates issued from the criminal records in English (mpudt.gov.hr), and the service itself is described on gov.hr.

    • Read the issuing body on your certificate: a municipal court, or the Ministry of Justice
    • This court certificate concerns ongoing proceedings within its stated scope
    • Criminal-record evidence is a separate ministry document — see Uvjerenje iz kaznene evidencije translation
    • "Uvjerenje o nekažnjavanju" is used colloquially for both, so compare the actual titles
    • Do not assume the two are interchangeable for your submission
    • Ask the Australian organisation receiving your documents which certificate it wants

    NAATI Certification

Preparing your Croatian court certificate for translation

Our NAATI-certified Croatian translators translate the certificate as issued, including the issuing court, case reference, the scope wording, date, signature and seal. TransLingo translates the record you supply: we do not issue, obtain, verify, notarise or apostille Croatian records, and the organisation receiving your documents decides which certificate it requires. Obtaining the certificate, having it authenticated and having it translated are separate steps.
